Boom Boom Bautista and Heriberto Ruiz of Mexico finally signed the contract for what is touted as one of the most exciting and highly anticipated fights in recent years.
The Bautista-Ruiz showdown will be the main attraction of the Pinoy Pride 6: Grudge Rematch card on June 11, 2011 in Cebu City. Bautista and Ruiz (49W-10L-2D, 28 KO’s) will fight this time for 12 rounds for the IBF international featherweight title.
Bautista is still smarting from his unanimous decision loss to Ruiz in their featherweight division battle three years ago. The loss was just the second for the Boholano power-puncher’s pro record. Since then, he has racked up four straight wins capped by a TKO victory over Mexican Alejandro Barrera last Jan. 29.
Pinoy Pride 6: Bautista vs Ruiz will be telecast live by its official media partnet, ABS CBN and Studio 23.
